OK, so on Monday last week for p-day we (our district plus Timicuana) played lazer-tag. It was way fun! However, I hurt! You see, believe it or not, I can get a bit competitive. The walls are only 3-4 feet high. So, I could run standing up and get shot at, OR I could somehow crouch and run at the same time. So due to my chubbiness & inflexibility, afterwards my legs went on strike. Also, it didn't help that when I "fixed" the back brakes on my bike I put them too tight without realizing it, so for 2 days I was riding around with my brakes clamped down. Needless to say, I was a bit tired. But enough of my quadricep's pity party. On to the great week! Tuesday we went to see a guy named Tom who had requested a free Book of Mormon. Come to find out, he's an Episcopal preacher! Still, he owns the Work & the Glory movies (for those who don't know, its a fictional story all about LDS church history), wants to study the Book of Mormon, and even said he thinks Joseph Smith might've been a prophet. (!!!) So, needless to say, we're excited to go back and see him again this week. Wednesday we had a sweet district meeting, and Thursday we had a training from the AP's while we had interviews with President Newman. The Spirit was SO STRONG! President Newman talked to us about some exciting stuff that's coming up. Starting in January, the church is going to start a media campaign here called "Truth Restored" that has been very successful in other areas. The members are getting way excited too. Our WML and Bishop had a meeting/training from Elder Anderson of the seventy and President Newman all about the members taking over the missionary work, particularly the finding. I think the day is fast approaching when the full-time missionaries won't be coming to the states... it'll be up to the members. So, yeah... SWEET week! Sorry if this is a bit scatterbrained. Love ya! -Elder Borgia
PS- a shout-out to Papa... hope you feel better soon! But for now... I know you're enjoying the Star Trek technology!
