Here in an instant, gone in a flash

Why hello again everyone. Well to start off... I'm getting transferred already, making my stay in Brunswick a short 6 weeks, and making Elder Amesse my 6th 6-week companion. So on Thursday I'll be headed to my 6th area and 9th companion. Wish me luck! This past week was fun. Monday was a pretty chill p-day. I got a haircut, and for the first time on my mission I actually paid for it! AACCKK!!! I called every single place in Brunswick to find the cheapest spot. So I got my haircut by an 80-something year old man who could hardly hear (when I said I was a missionary he thought I said I was from Michigan!), but he cut hair really well! I felt like I'd gone back 50 years and ended up in an old-fashioned barber shop. He even got out the brush-thing and whipped shaving cream all around my hairline and shaved it with a blade. Tuesday was district meeting, and afterward... FIREHOUSE!!! Friday was obviously the 4th of July, and we got up on the roof of the other elder's apartment to try to watch the fireworks... but alas, the trees were in the way. Then on Saturday morning we did service at an old guys house that we met on Thursday. We were tracting and we found Calvin, who's 80-something years old and on oxygen, digging up his side yard. So, we told him that we were going to come help. Apparently he didn't believe us, because when we showed up on Saturday he was kind of surprised. The rest of that day was mostly filled up by riding to and fro, a result of our bad planning, which we paid for with our now sore legs. For dinner we went to this place called Willy's Weenie Wagon, who apparently has some "internationally acclaimed pork chop sandwich". Well, I would beg to differ! Imagine this... decent bread, pretty good pork chops, grilled onions, SMOTHERED in yellow mustard. Not exactly AMAZING... but whatever. They say that they'll pay $2000 to anyone that can bring in a better sandwich. I'm tempted to go ask for one w/o mustard, add a bit of BBQ sauce and give it back to them! ;) Then riding home from dinner we got caught in the rain as a pretty strong storm picked up. By the time we got home we were DRENCHED! I even poured water out of my shoes! Rain like that it SO fun, seriously! So yeah... that was my week. Next week I'll let you know where I end up. Hope to hear from you soon! Love, Elder Borgia
