Back in Time

OK, well this was a SWEET week. Lemme tell ya about it... so on Monday most of our district got together and went bowling. Once again I was reminded of how much I suck at it, but I'll blame it on the fact that my ball was 2 lbs. heavier than anyone elses. Makes sense, right? OK, maybe not, but at least I was able to make the other guys feel better about their bowling skills. Then we went back to our apt. and chilled with the elders from Darien (Bratt & Bewley). A member gave us $ to go to a buffet place for dinner 'cuz they wanted us to try to teach one of the waitresses they gave a Book of Mormon to, so we all went together. We talked to the lady, and we'll be going back to see her soon. Now, being at a buffet, we also stuffed ourselves full of food. It had to be done, right?! Tuesday morning was district meeting, which was good, and then we went on a trade-off. Bewley came down to be with Amesse and I went with Bratt to Darien. It was so SWEET & a little bit weird to be back in Darien after a year. Wednesday morning we did "service" at Brother John Zorn's house, which this week consisted of going grocery shopping with him. My first task was to get the electric cart thing for him and take it out to the parking lot. Of course I ended up grapping the one that was only 1/2 charged, and so picture me, a healthy 20 year old lad, riding this cart which is going .01 mph through the Wal-Mart parking lot. On top of that, I had to stop and stand up occasionally to try to find where they'd parked. I felt SO ridiculous!!! But still, it was fun to be back and see some peeps there. So after service we traded back. The whole experience made me a little bit Darien-trunky... I love those people. Thursday morning we did service at the ranch again, this time it was our fun job to load & stack bales of hay. On the weekend nothing too exciting happened, so I won't bore you with that. Sunday night was sweet, 'cuz President Newman came up and did a fireside for both of the wards up here, talking about how to share the gospel with your friends. It was sweet, and the members seemed pretty excited about it. So yeah... that was my week. This Saturday are transfer calls (already?!) so I'll let you know... both of us are probably staying, but ya never know! Love ya! -Elder Borgia
