I'm outta here!

Well transfer calls came and on Thursday I'll be going somehwere else. I'll let you know next week where that somewhere else is. I'm feeling mixed about it. I'm definitely ready for a change.. it's been 10 1/2 months! ... but after spending so long somewhere you get attached to the people. Plus I'm bummed that I only got to spend 6 weeks with Elder Hendrickson. Still, change is exciting. On Wednesday we did a trade-off with the guys in 1st ward. Elder Farnesworth came to 2nd ward with me. He also served in Darien, so he caught me up on what all is going on there. We also had interviews with President Newman, which was sweet. But the sweetest experience this week was definitely Wayne. Wayne married a member of the church a few months ago and we've been teaching him. He's been coming to church every week for months, even before we taught him. He believes and lives everything, kept wanting to put off getting baptized. He does some real estate stuff... in Italy! so he has been going there every so often. Well, for the past few weeks it has fallen through. We met with him on Tuesday and the Spirit led us to tell him that the reason his trip kept falling through was because the Lord needed him to be baptized, and we asked him about this weekend. "Well," he said, "I'm tentatively scheduled to leave on Saturday". So we proposed Thursday night, and he said "I think we can manage that". So in 2 days we got everything together and on Thursday Wayne Boyette was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Those are the experiences that make the mission. So yeah... good week. Talk to ya next week. Love ya! -Elder Borgia
