Happy Mothers Day!!!

OK... so it has been brought to my attention that i use the word "SWEET" quite a bit. So... in order to try to be different, I figured I'd write this week's update in entirely southern drawl. Thus, all punctuation ends here. Have fun! (i'll provide some occasional translation in [ ] brackets.

so firstly last week i forgit to tell y'all 'bout somthing pretty dern funnny i dunno if y'all 'member 'bout some'the CRAZY folks we met in the past lil'bit there wuz william the cherokee chief man who rides his bike "to stay in such good shape" plus them crazy baptist folk who tried their darndest to argue with us well we'z wuz tracting a skreet and we met a mighty fine lady who 'vited us back next day we went back and she had some'uh'her kinfolk [family] over to meet us to she had a crazy sister when we told her 'bout what the book of normans wuz she cried out "I KNOW I'M BACKSLIDING BUT GOD STILL LUVS ME!!!" uh someones a pinch guilty huh? so anyhoo we wuz sitting thur listnen to them and in walks crazy sisters old man [husband] who we shortly recognize as William though it took us a bit to 'cuz he wuznt wearing his du-rag then the party really cut on [turned on/got started] when williams mom walked in whoz baptist bashing lady yup sirree theiyr all'n the same room t'gthr it took all the grit in me t'not laugh anyway this week wendsday we'z met funny gurl who couldnt read but acted to we axed her to read moronees promise in the mormon bible and she said "god came down and talked to some prophet and he said some cool things about Jesus and, um... that's all i know" so yeah that wuz funny i tell you what wensday we had a mightybig meetin with the zone and prezident newmans FIRRRED us up! then sunday i called me kinfolk and chatted for a mighty long time until i had to cut off the phone to go to church so that was cool and fun

WHEW! It's more tiring than you'd think to write like these southerners. It's truly a gift they have! ;) But really it was a great week. In our zone meeting President Newman spiritually chewed our butts and it lit a fire under our butts to really get going. My favorite experience from this week (and there was some good ones) was when we tracted into a guy named Randall. He said that just the day before, his friend (who's a member) had "witnessed" to him about the Book of Mormon (which, btw... is NOT a "mormon Bible" though that's what the southerners call it). He had really been touched by what she'd said and had decided to find out more about it, and a few hours later we showed up. The next day we came back with that member and taught him about the Restoration and the Book of Mormon and the Spirit was so strong... he cried a few times and told us that he knew it was true. There are no coincidences. The Lord truly is directing this work. Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers, especially mine. I hope you all realize (and I'm not boasting) that I have the BEST mom in the world. She's my mentor, mother, teacher, hero, and my best bud. Her example growing up was amazing. She truly taught me to rely on the Lord as I watched her do so. I wish I could see her & hug her right now, but I can't... SO... if any of y'all see her, please give her a big hug from me. So, on that note... have a great week! Love ya- Elder Borgia
