Well transfer calls came, and I'll be staying in Lake City for at least another 6 weeks. That'll be 10 1/2 months of me being here. Sadly, my other 3 roommates, including my 6-month companion Elder Christesnen, will be leaving me on Thursday for other areas. So, that was a bit surprising. However, I received an even more surprising phone call this morning from President Newman. I've been released as zone leader!!! And... I'll be training again! So right now, my next companion is freaking out, getting ready to leave the MTC! How crazy is that?! So I'll keep you posted on that. This has been a good week. We did quite a bit of service at a members house this week. In January they had a fire in their attic, and a fireman fell through their ceiling... 3 different times. So... they took the opportunity to do some remodeling. My job has been the painter, and it's involved being high up on a ladder, which I've handled surprisingly well. Next step... sky diving! (or maybe not) Tuesday/Wednesday we did trade-offs with Starke, which was pretty fun. This week we had a lot of opportunities to do some random service. Thursday we went to an investigators house so Christensen could help them fix their tractor thing. In the meantime, my task was to rescue a calf. Yes... I am Borgia, cow-man. Apparently a cow had had a calf that very morning and then it fell into a creek and the mom was freaking out. Remember 6 weeks ago when a calf succeeded in pooping on me? Well, this one tried to, but I successfully dodged it. Friday we stopped by to teach a guy named Siras, and we ended up destroying his couch. If any of you are looking for a way to get your stress, frustration, and aggression out, I highly recommend couch demolition! So, on that note... have a great week! Love ya!
